INDOOR SCHOOL
Indoor School and Dog Kenneling Services

The Facilities on offer
The indoor school is a standard sized school perfect for lessons or figure work. We use synthetic rubber chippings rather than sand. The school is free to use but there are booking sheets to so people can book the school in advance for lessons etc.
The school is located in the middle of the biggest of our barns, with stables along the outside and the hay barn on the opposite side to the school. This means the furthest you will ever have to walk from any stable to the school is about 20meters!
We have a number of jumps, barrels and polls that are kept in the corners of the school that you can assemble to create whatever riding scenario takes your fancy. We do ask that all equiptment is put back into the corners once you've finished as the school is regularly harrowed and raked smooth by a quad bike and putting equiptment away means the job takes a lot longer!
Any instructor is welcome to come teach you but this must be organised and taken on by yourself as Gothersley Equine centre takes no responsibilty for accidents that happen while in the care of an instructor.
We also have a electric horse walker (displayed in the photo above) which is also free to use and is located on the opposite side of the yard to the school in the second hay barn. Along with this we also have a lean-to on the side of the hay barn where you may wash your horse with the heated shower.
The entire yard is lit after dark so there is no problem using any of the facilities during the winter when it gets dark early.
Dog Keneling Services
As well as horses, we also have started a dog kenneling service. It started off with just rescue dogs for the Dog Trust but now Becci who runs the kennels now is taking on boarding dogs also.
The kennels have been build specifically and outdoor runs just a few feet from the kennels themselves. Becci owns 5 of her own beloved dogs and puts her full effort into making a dog stay here as relaxing and as happy as possible.
As well doing this she also has managed to kurb some bad behaviour of the rescue dogs and turned into friendly well mannered dogs, which shows her dedication and skill when handling these animals. This gives people who have had their dog looked after by Becci a great confidence in her abilties and piece of mind to keep their dogs safe and happy while they enjoy their holidays away.
The dogs all get their own dog bed and kennel each with an enclosed section at the back of the kennel that acts as a small house. This stops nervous dogs from becoming paranoid and scared as the small area gives them a sense of security. More information can be found on the contact page under dogs.
